Welcome Back to School! 2011-2012

I wish to welcome all the new Grade 2s to my classroom. I have some fun things, (as well as all that ’school stuff’….) planned for this year.

• Planners go home every night as a link from school to home. Remember to check them for notes and up-dates.

• The nightly reading program will begin on the first day. There will be a little ziploc bag with all the information needed to explain the program.

•  Our first Downtown Library trip will be during the first week, Friday September 9th at 12. Those people who HAVE cards- please send them along. New cards will be processed for others with registration forms (attached to the newsletters).

•  A large package of notes will be sent home on Tuesday afternoon- be sure to check them over and sign/send back anything needed for school. The September newsletter also includes information ~in case you need to contact me out-of-school hours

Meet-the-Teacher night is scheduled for Thursday, September 15th. I have a university course scheduled for the same night and will be unavailable BUT I will stay at school- FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 9th from 4-9 pm for working parents and SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 10th between 9-12 for anyone who can squeeze in time between hockey and groceries to meet with me. I apologize for the inconvenience, and I’ll make sure my room smells like hot dogs to get the full effect…

 If you cannot make it, please do not hesitate to contact me, and we can set up another time!

P.S. I do send paper copies of newsletters  to everyone …..so always check that backpack!
