The closing of the school or the cancellation or delay of buses in Zone 7 will be announced on Radio Stations: CFCO (AM 630), CKSY (FM 94.3) or CHYR (FM 96.7) by 6:30 a.m.

If buses are cancelled in the morning due to fog, they will run in the afternoon.

Procedures for Situations Occurring During the School Day

If the decision is made to send students home early, it is recognized by transportation services that most schools require one and one-half hours to activate parent contact.

Students will not be released from TAPS unless parents have been contacted or alternative arrangements are in place.

Closure of Schools

If schools are closed, an attempt will be made to have a designated staff for one hour each morning (one-half hour prior to the normal beginning to one-half hour after normal beginning) to ensure that no students is inadvertently left unattended.
